TRIALS
Trials are an important part of joining Boom Arts Academy - we want all our students to be happy with the dance classes they choose and to make sure it's right for them.
We therefore offer one trial per class type we offer - e.g. a student can do one trial for modern, one for ballet and one for street dance. This is obviously subject to there being available places in a class.

Trials are for two consecutive lessons (i.e. 2 weeks) and are charged at the usual rate for that class. For example, for a class costing £7.50 per lesson, the trial would be for two lessons and cost £15. Trials are non-refundable once booked.

To book a trial, please enrol via our booking page.
Please read the below to help answer any questions you may have - if you have a different question, please feel free to contact us.
Before a Trial:
Yes you can, but each student can only be booked onto one trial per class type that we offer.
For example, a student can do one trial for modern, one for ballet and one for street dance.
Can I book more than one trial?
Please arrive for your trial class 10 minutes before the start of the class.
You’ll need to bring and show your confirmation email (you can show it on your phone, or print it out)
What time should we arrive before the class?
Please wear :
-
black leggings/trousers
-
comfortable trainers
-
black t shirt
If the trial is for ballet and you have them, please wear:
-
leotard
-
ballet shoes
What does the student need to wear to their trial?
If it is just the one trial, then please bring a water bottle (ideally with the student's name on).
If they are doing multiple trials, then they may want to bring a snack or lunch – but please ensure this contains no nuts or fizzy drinks.
What do we need to bring to the trial?
Unfortunately, we are unable to let parents watch the students during trials.

This is primarily to ensure we are able to maintain our safeguarding standards for all students.
Can I watch the trial?
This is a really common question!
Firstly, all students need to be fully toilet trained to attend Boom Arts Academy.

If they need the toilet, one of our teachers or teaching assistants will chaperone them to the toilets and wait outside.
What happens if the student needs the toilet?
After a Trial:
Once the trial is complete, you will be sent an invitation from Class4Kids (our booking system) to join for the remaining term.

The cost shown will only be for the classes that are left.

If you're still unsure about which class is best, please contact or send a message through our contact form.
How do we sign up for the class on a permanent basis?
Boom Arts Academy uniform must be worn to class. This can be purchased online, from the class teacher or from reception.

If you are worried about this arriving in time for the next class, contact us and we will make arrangements to either speed up delivery, or make sure the class teacher knows.
Do we need to buy the uniform before they attend?
Please let us know if the student is unable to attend for any reason.

We are unfortunately not able to offer a refund for any classes missed during the term - please see our policies for more information.
What if we sign up but we are unable to attend a future class?
